Most personal finance MCP servers on GitHub are bridges: thin wrappers that connect your AI to an account you already pay for in YNAB, Monarch Money, Actual Budget or Firefly III. A bridge inherits the app behind it - the subscription, the onboarding, the hosting - and adds an API token to manage. MyFinance MCP is standalone: the server is the finance app.
